The Table Tennis group 6 is looking for new members
Thursdays from 13.30 to 15.30 £4 per person. Please provide your own bat, but spare bats can be found for newcomers.
Ample car parking inside the Argyle Tennis club grounds
All members play to a good friendly standard, and there is always help for beginners. We have a break around 2.30 for a friendly chat and (hopefully) some dark chocolate biccies. We find it impossible to discourage gossips (good natured only, it goes without saying...)
There are always two tables available, and both singles and doubles are played, though mostly doubles. We mix and match to give everyone the chance to play at a level they are comfortable with - we're all here to have fun!
Games are played to the following rules:
DOUBLES - each person will serve 5 serves, and first pair to reach 21 wins.
SINGLES - two serves alternately and the first to 11 wins.
You are expected to assist with the session operation such as setting up and knock down of table tennis tables; security of the building and moving of tables and chairs as necessary.
