Developed by Joseph Pilates, the classical Pilates method initially intended to rehabilitate injured dancers and athletes has evolved as a mind and body practice suitable for people of all ages and physical condition. Executed correctly, Pilates exercises develop your core muscles, and will help to increase your balance, strength and flexibility. Our instructor, Sandie Keane, who specialises in working with older adults will help you to tailor exercises according to your fitness level and make sure you are doing the exercises properly.
Consult with your doctor before beginning any new exercise program.
We meet at 1.00 every Thursday. The cost is £5 per class, paid monthly in advance. You need not pay for weeks where you give notice that you can't attend but there is a minimum charge of £10 per month to contribute towards the tutor and the rental costs.
This group is full, as are all Pilates groups, please add your name to the waiting list by clicking on the little green man, top right.
If you feel that you are able to lead a Pilates 4 group let me know and we'll see how we can help.
