We started off as a group of mixed abilities including some absolute beginners and with one member with educational, professional and creative experience in photography. We have followed a structured approach to developing our skills and visual awareness through monthly projects so that we all now have a good grasp of the basics needed to progress and meet the group’s aim of ‘Towards Better Photography’. 

Members us a range of equipment including phones, compact cameras and DSLRs and computers.  We are not an equipment driven group so members use whatever they prefer to fulfil their own needs. 

Members are asked to submit up to two photographs each month which should be taken specifically for the set theme and we discuss the submissions at our monthly meeting. 

New members are always welcome to join our group if we have space and provided that they can comfortably fit to our current skills level. We now consider ourselves to be at an intermediate level and regrettably this means we can no longer support beginners.

There is a small charge of £3 per session to cover the cost of room hire.
