Out&About is all about one-off events, not regular every week or every month activities. We hope to provide Walking Trips, Guided Trips, Natural History Trips, Talks, Visits, Local places of interest, Factory Visits, Sporting Activities, Fun Activities, Theatre Trips, Eating Out, and any other subject that our members come up with.

The Group is run by me (Jim Hay) but all of the activities are run and managed by individual Event Organisers. There are a large variety of Event Organisers creating  a wide range of things for you to do. If you have an idea for something and would like to run something yourself, then get in touch with me at the email below and we will put it into action.

There is no real limit on the numbers of this group but all members will be those who have expressed a wish to take part in one-off events. So, if you wish to be in the group add your name to the list above

As a member of this group you will be contacted regarding events coming up and will be able to apply through the system to join. If you are on a waiting list please still make a note of it in your diary incase you are contacted to replace someone.

All payments will normally be done by PayPal/credit card through the u3a system. If you absolutely cannot pay this way then payment by cheque should be sent to "u3a, 3 The Paddock, Southport, PR8 3PT". Cheque made out to Southport u3a with the name of the event written on the back of the cheque. Also, there is an Out&About desk at the monthly meeting where you can book events or pay for them. No bookings will be considered secure until paid
