Local History 2 are an active group who provide more members with opportunities to attend talks, walks, and trips of local historical significance, in both Southport and its Surrounding Areas.
We can learn how people lived, worked, and raised families locally, find out why a street was named, or understand why monuments and points of interest were built.
Join us in our own discovery of how people, places and events in the past have influenced the present.
Since we started in May 2023 we have visited to The Anglican Cathedral, Kings Gardens, The Hesketh Park Observatory, The Williamson Tunnels, The Atkinson, Sudley House, Museum of Liverpool and The Hardmans’ House.
Membership will be reviewed regularly and inactive members will replaced by people on our waiting list.
