Welcome to the Gardening Group. We are a friendly bunch of keen gardeners, We meet on the second Wednesday of the month formally at Lord Street West Community Church Hall but unfortunately the hall is now  closed due to a problem with the roof, so our new venue is Liverpool Road Methodist Church in Birkdale, PR8 4PD. Doors open at 10am with refreshments which are included in the admission fee of £3. We start promptly at 10.30am with notices and welcome our guest speaker. We have a different speaker every month on a wide range of horticultural related topics, there is usually a plant sale & we also have seed swaps & Gardening book swaps. We organise several coach trips throughout the year, to stately homes & gardens of interest, also self-drive trips to local gardens open under the National Garden Scheme charity.  Please book your place through the website to attend a meeting or join a trip, you need to log in through the Membership system.

 Only Trips can be paid for online. Please pay your £3 attendance fee at the door, we look forward to seeing you.

The garden won a Large Gold Medal and The Brian Aughton Memorial Trophy for 'Best use of Plants in a Display.'
