Block Courses now Cancelled - Flexible Come Along When You Can in place
Dear Developing Artists
Unfortunately there have not been enough members wishing to sign up to block two. To that end we have had to make the decision to save costs and self tutor, and attend when we can.
Those that have paid upfront for the Block will get refunded.
Don't despair that you'll not get your regular art fix.
We shall continue meeting at Southport Community Centre on Monday afternoon's at the usual time 2 o'clock untill 4 o'clock.
It'll be £10 on the door. Plus a small charge for T, C and biscuits!
Also we have just commenced the informal art group meeting on Friday afternoon in the Richmond from 1:30 and till 4:30.
If sufficient numbers of people want to commence a new course with Nawal then the door is open to negotiate a new course.

Well summer has passed and below are some pictures done by the group:
Nawal has returned to tutor the Michaelmas Developers course (fully subscribed with a waiting list for new Beginners or developers for The New Year or sooner if there are enough).
We are at our new venue Southport Community Centre Norwood Road, until Easter and possibly beyond, dependent on WLYC availability, etc.
From our first week re Tone and Perspective. with homework a portrait (we had to remove a strip and sketch in the missing strip!)
And from weeks 2 & 3 Autumn still life using natures abundance (seasonal berries and flowers)

Michaelmas Term Art course
Having fun and learning new skills and making mistakes that enable us to improve is the key to this course. As I can attest, being a beginner last term! There was no shortage of missteps in my exercises. (Am I better? YES. Am I good? NO. Do I want to continue to Learn laugh & have fun YES)
Coming later this month is the return of our fabulously talented tutor, Nawal Gebreel.
For experienced artists and those that began last term, this is a continuation with a structured syllabus to continue learning how to: use different techniques e.g. Cling Film, tissue paper; use Tone, Saturation, Hue. Colour mixing and application and many, many more.
For members who are keen to try their hand at doing some art. Beginners are welcome and can be accommodated during the sessions! You’ll see and talk to last terms beginners advancing! Nawal will continue to give her excellent demonstrations and talk through queries and questions as artists practice their art.
Course: 12 weeks, each week is a two-hour session on Monday Afternoon 14:00 – 16:00
Venue: NEW VENUE Southport Community Centre, 99 Norwood Road
To enrol: Join the GROUP then join the EVENTS .
Payment: Classes are £15 each but you MUST commit to a 4 class £15 x 4 classes =£60.00 per block
Starting: Monday Sept 21st through to December 14th with a week off at half term.

This is for new painters but we have a lot of varying skills so if you are new to art, picking up from school days or pretty good please come and join us and try us out.
Classes start back on September 21st with our Tutor in the meantime to keep our new found talents and keep in touch with each other we have this untutored group.

Monday 13:30 - 15:30 on the following dates 3rd; 10th; 17th; and 21st (NOT 31st a Bank Holiday)
