There are a choice of 2 classes you may join Monday PM or Wednesday AM.
This meditation is the practice of Pranayama which brings many benefits, it helps regulate the nervous system, helping to centre and calm the mind and thereby create a greater alertness and inner spaciousness. Practicing Pranayama is an excellent gateway to stillness and Meditation practice.
The purpose of this meditation is to still, harness and relax the mind so that is can be directed purposefully without distractions.
Let the idea of rest for the mind become as natural as finding rest for the body.
Reasons to practice :-
- Lowers and stabilises blood pressure
- Encourages calmness to soothe and quieten and clear the mind and can improve sleep.
- Alters brain wave patterns to assist healthy brain functioning.
- Increases self awareness and stimulates creativity and insight
- Stimulates the bodies relaxation response and so can reduce stress symptoms
- Continues the journey to enlightenment, complete contentment, peace of mind.
- Contributes to the maintenance of good posture.
Your tutor, Sue Jones, will take you through Pranayama and meditation right from the beginning.
You will practice each lesson a few times before moving on to the next stage.
