This group will begin on 14th April, 2025.
The cost is £5 per class, paid monthly in advance, minimum charge of £10 per month to contribute towards the tutor and the rental costs.
The Chi Ball Method integrates three basic elements from traditional Chinese medicine that restore balance to mind, body and spirit: the theory of yin and yang; the concept of chi; and the meridian system.
Many people are familiar with the classic black-and-white symbol that represents yin and yang. The way in which these two opposites are entwined in the symbol illustrates how these entities constantly work together to achieve balance. The Chi Ball Method is designed to teach how to understand the concept of balancing yin and yang. Each component of the method works in a different way to accomplish this goal.
This comprises of 5 elements:
• Tai Chi and Qigong (the Chinese model which uses repetitive flowing movements to improve circulation, concentration and co-ordination)
• Yoga (for strength, stamina and flexibility)
• Pilates (to build awareness, core strength and stability)
• Feldenkrais Method (to rediscover the flexibility and movement of childhood)
• Meditation and deep relaxation (to reboot, revive and restore)
