No events to show.  This is normal if the group holds regular meetings.

We meet on the first and third Friday of each month. Time (generally meeting about 10.30/10.45 a.m.) and venue are notified nearer the time. All members of the group are notified when the next walk has been set up as an "Event" on Southport u3a website and members sign up to the event if they are interested in joining that walk. Starting and finishing locations are accessible by train or bus – details sent out a few days before each walk to those who have signed up. If a walk is circular, that is included in the joining information, as some people prefer to take their own transport. Walks are about 3-5 miles and will usually end at a location where refreshments can be had, if desired.

Terrain is usually footpaths, pavements and sometimes sand and dunes. Members are advised in the event information of the general area in which the walk will take place. Anyone who comes needs to be confident that they can manage the walk as the leaders cannot take responsibility. Proposed walks are risk assessed but the leaders do not have the expertise to do so for anyone with particular needs so each member must make a judgement on the suitability and accessibility of any proposed walk and make provision for dealing with any problems encountered with the terrain.
