On Monday, 17 July 2023, Gardening Group has arranged a delightful Summer visit to the RHS Bridgewater Garden, Worsley.
This is a fabulous Garden on the site of the former, historic 154-acre, Worsley New Hall Estate which fell into disuse and disappeared in the 1940s. The RHS undertook what was one of the largest garden projects to restore the gardens – RHS Bridgewater Garden is now in its 3rd year and the transformation has been glorious. Highlights include: the Walled Garden; the Paradise Garden, Welcome Gardens; Chinese Watergardens; Woodland and Lakeside areas; Vegetable, Orchard and the Victoria Meadow gardens.
There are good cafe facilities, picnic areas, a large gift shop and plant sales area.
The Cost of the trip is: £24.50 per person (£14.50 for RHS Members) including admission, guided tour of the Gardens by RHS Guides and coach travel ( Excluding driver tip).
RHS Members of the Gardening Group must email Jessica immediately upon booking (email address: jewright6@live.co.uk) with the details of their RHS Membership number. This must be valid at the time of the date our trip on 17 July 2023. All RHS Members are also required to bring their Membership cards with them on the trip, for checking by RHS Staff on admission to the gardens .
