BOWLS "TASTER" SESSION        

After the very successful event last year, we have once again agreed with Southport Flat Green Bowls Club to run a "Taster' session for our members, to be held at their bowling green in Kings Gardens, at the Pleasureland end of the boating lake. This will be held on Tuesday 14th April meeting at 1 pm for about 2 hours.

The people who took part last year all seemed to have a very enjoyable time and the Bowls Club members will be on hand to give you tips and advice. All equipment will be supplied - you just need to come with flat shoes or trainers and appropriate clothing.

The cost of £5 will include refreshments. 

Bowls, is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls called “woods” so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a "jack" It is played on a bowling green, which is flat and is normally played outdoors (although there are many indoor venues) and the outdoor surface is either natural grass or artificial turf.
