BOWLS "TASTER" SESSION 

After the very successful event last year, we have once again agreed with Southport Flat Green Bowls Club to run a "Taster' session for our members, to be held at their bowling green in Kings Gardens, at the Pleasureland end of the boating lake. This will be held on Tuesday 22nd April meeting at 11am for about 2 hours.

The cost of £5 will include refreshments and will also include bowls and any other equipment that you may need. You will need to wear appropriate footwear (flat shoes or trainers) and wear suitable weatherproof loose clothing.

Bowls, is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls called “woods” so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a "jack" It is played on a bowling green, which is flat and is normally played outdoors (although there are many indoor venues) and the outdoor surface is either natural grass or artificial turf.

There will be a number of Bowls Club members available to help with tuition.
